Duties

• Perform MOT tests on vehicles in accordance with regulatory standards
• Inspect vehicles for safety and emissions compliance
• Identify and report any defects or issues found during the testing process
• Use power tools and hand tools to perform necessary repairs and adjustments
• Keep accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained
• Complete any vehicle repair work for MOT failures

Qualifications:

• Valid MOT Tester license/certification
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or issues
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting MOT tests on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and emissions standards. You will use your mechanical knowledge and skills to inspect vehicles, identify any defects or issues, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments using power tools and hand tools. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial in this role, as you will need to keep accurate records of all tests performed.

Qualifications for this position include a valid MOT Tester license/certification, strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to effectively use power tools and hand tools, and physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual labour.

We are a busy Car Dealership in the Manchester area and due to on-going expansion we are currently seeking a Vehicle MOT Tester to join our productive and successful team, the role also includes minor mechanical works such as vehicle servicing, replacing such things as Discs and pads, and small minor bits no major repairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
